Good Words for your Wednesday

DeAnna L. Sanders: DLS Communicator for Global GOOD Welcome to A Good Word Wednesday.
I'm happy you're here. Thanks for joining me. This is where you find words of encouragement, help and hope each Wednesday.
Word of the Week: Still
This place, my shady deck, is a sanctuary for my soul. I come here every morning possible. I wish you could hear the cardinals chirping and the wind stirring the oak trees. Just about this time, the sun rises over those tree tops. Deep breath. And be still. He speaks through his creation. He speaks through His Word.
Just. Be. Still.
Where do you go often to just be still and listen? I'd love to know. Send me a photo too.
Wednesday in THE WORD
"Your word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10.
What words are you reading in scripture right now that speak to you? Share with me what you are hearing.
Let your story be His story today!
GOOD WORDS I RECOMMEND
A GOOD BOOK: A Spacious Life: Trading Hustle and Hurry for the Goodness of Limits, Ashley Hales http:// https://www.amazon.com/Spacious-Life-Trading-Hustle-Goodness/dp/0830847383 Of course, it has the word "Goodness" in the title, so naturally this book grabbed my attention. I just started reading this one. Here is a sample from Chapter 1: "Like too many condiments to choose from, we don't need more choices to live the good life. We probably need less. We need instructions, a guide, and appropriately placed guardrails to show us the way forward.... The gospel is the good news that Jesus' life, death, resurrection, and ascension accomplish for us what hustle and hurry never can." A GOOD Letter: Hope Highlights, a monthly newsletter of Christian Helping Hands/Heather's Hope Housing, Comanche, OK August 2022: I loved interviewing Ashley for the feature story this month. Here are some of her own good words: “The answer to my loneliness wasn’t in a pipe, or a person, or a bottle. It was in Jesus. I never knew he could love someone like me…. This is God’s restoration story. I know I didn’t go through all this pain without a reason. I know my story can help someone else. I’m so excited to see lives changed!” A GOOD Story: Stories for Global GOOD Do You See Them? What are the names of the people you see on a regular basis who serve you or work in stores you frequent? Here are some words to encourage you to call them by name. https://ohthegreatplacesyoullgo.wordpress.com/2022/08/13/do-you-see-them/
