A Good Word Wednesday #110 Inspire
A little bit of help, hope and goodness for you each Wednesday
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Proverbs 12:25
GOOD WORD OF THE DAY: INSPIRE
What inspires you to keep on keeping on? When something is hard, what pushes you onward? What or who is your inspiration?
For some of us, it is achieving the goal. Checking an item off our “to do” list. It may be winning a prize or finishing first. For me, as I’ve written before, words of encouragement push me onward. Words, whether spoken or written, inspire me to keep going. However love and hope are demonstrated to you, it will help you through dark days of doubt and discouragement.
As I’ve launched my book, Unseen People, out into the world these past few weeks, I’ve been encouraged by your support in multiple ways —through you coming to my book signing events, buying the book, writing a review, recommending it to a friend. Writing is normally a solitary, lonely experience. What a difference it has been in my life interacting with people who want to read my words. So encouraging. So inspiring.
Of course, the best inspiration of all is God’s Word. Within the pages of His book are messages of hope through life’s storms, His presence when tragedy seeks to steal our souls and peace provides an unexplained soothing calmness.
As believers in Jesus, we know our inspiration for the work God has called us to is through relationship with Him. Where else do people look for inspiration?
WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Romans 12:1 NIV
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 ESV
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
What scriptures do you turn to when you need inspiration?

Unseen People is a quick and easy read for anyone who desires to grow in their ability to live “on mission” all the time! This book is laid out with thoughtfully placed, real life accounts of the author’s experiences, seeing the unseen. Through her recalling of her many years doing mission work both abroad, within the U.S. and locally in her community, DeAnna Sanders encourages her readers to see people the way God does, and to connect and share his light and love in this lost world. I highly recommend this book, you’ll enjoy it from the first page to the last!
Have you read Unseen People yet? If you have, I would love for you to post a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. This helps other readers to know if they should purchase the book and helps Amazon know to continue to promote it. I’ve received eight Amazon reviews so far and the goal is 50! Please take a minute to post your thoughts— what you liked about it and a photo of you holding the book. THANK YOU!! Unseen People Amazon page

A FINAL GOOD WORD
As I write this today, I am sitting outside on my deck. I don’t have to look far to find inspiration all around me — the birds singing, a soft breeze blowing, the blue sky and puffy white clouds above. God provides generous helpings of His goodness in His creation. I’m reminded of these words from the psalmist:
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2
The psalm ends this way and it is my prayer for you this week. I pray that it gives you inspiration, hope and help.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life. The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. Psalm 121:7-8 ESV
Thank you for reading these words. I’m deeply honored to share this time with you each week.
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: “Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.” Jeremiah 30:2
Gratefully yours,
