A Good Word Wednesday #118 KEEP
A little bit of help, hope and goodness for you each Wednesday
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Proverbs 12:25
GOOD WORD OF THE DAY: Keep
What items do you collect? What do you keep on display for others to see? If you look on the shelves around my home, you will find plenty of these:
I love globes, maps, and these:
I collect nativity sets from all over the world.
You also will see many framed family photos, baby pictures and hundreds of books stacked on multiple shelves.
We all have a desire to keep close what we value most.
So how do you prominently display your Christian faith? If faith is most important to you, how do you let the world know? How do you both keep your faith close and give it away?
Because you are made with great love and are priceless and treasured, Jesus keeps us close. One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is John 17. All of it. I love that Jesus prays for the Holy Spirit to keep His followers close for the sake of unity. Take time to read the chapter this week and get a closer look at what Jesus values and keeps safe.
WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD
“And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.” John 17:11
“If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” John 15:10
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

5.0 out of 5 stars How to share Christ’s love with unnoticed people everywhere
Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2024
This special book is so different from other Christian literature in that we are challenged to see the needs of people everywhere we go. The author points out that you do not have to be a foreign missionary or even a missionary in your own country to share God’s love with others. She encourages us to ask God to show us the often unnoticed and lonely people right where we live as well as those in far away places that would love a friendly word or even just a smile to know that they are seen. From there we can start meeting their needs. I highly recommend this book just for yourself or as a great gift!
THANK YOU for your kind words. I keep your words close to my heart and treasure your support. Please let me know what you think about the book! Please leave an Amazon rating and review here.

A FINAL GOOD WORD
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”That’s my prayer for all of us this week.
Thank you for reading these words. I’m deeply honored to share this time with you each week.
