A Good Word Wednesday #119 DEEP ⛲🌊🗺
A little bit of help, hope and goodness for you each Wednesday
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Proverbs 12:25
GOOD WORD OF THE DAY:
🎵🎶🎹“Deep and Wide. Deep and Wide. There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide….” This children’s song is where my mind immediately goes when I think of the word deep. (You are probably singing along and adding the motions right now. 🙂)
The mention of a “fountain” emphasizes the idea of abundance and fulfillment that can be found in a relationship with God. It conveys the idea that God’s love is vast, never-ending, and available to all who seek it.
There are current songs that come to mind about the depth of God’s love. I will include some of those in the Recommend section below. Many scriptures describe the depth of God’s love. I list some of those in the Word section below.
Do you remember the first time you saw an ocean? How did it make you feel? As a college freshman, I stood at the ocean’s edge in Ocean City, Maryland. I felt small. Since then, I’ve viewed the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans from multiple vantage points.
The waters were always vast, deep and powerful. Those same words describe God who made all the waters of the world. His love truly runs deep and wide.
WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD
“And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.” Genesis 1:7
“He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.” Daniel 2:22
“Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.” Psalm 42:7 (Read all of Psalm 42. It will remind you that God’s love is deeper than the depths of your trouble and pain.)
“When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4

“In the fascinating pages of Unseen People, you will get to journey with a true global ambassador of hope...She doesn’t serve up a wistful kind of hope. Rather, she offers the kind that creates change in people across the street and around the world.”

Unseen People invites all believers to engage in the task of seeing the unseen just like Jesus did. Through stories of her own life, DeAnna inspires Christians to look outside their homes and into their own neighborhoods, communities and beyond. Readers will be encouraged to understand that engaging with the unseen is not just a task for vocational missionaries but for us all. The best news is that this is work we can all start today, by opening our eyes and hearts to those God purposefully puts in our path and sharing the light of Christ with them.
THANK YOU for your kind words. I keep your words close to my heart and treasure your support. Please let me know what you think about the book! Please leave an Amazon rating and review here.

A FINAL GOOD WORD
Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity
And passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession?
He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in unchanging love.
He will again have compassion on us;
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
Yes, You will cast all their sins
Into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:18-19 (NASB)My prayer for all of us this week is that we will be overwhelmed with the depths of God’s love. That we will be cleansed and renewed in His forgiving grace.
Have a good week. See you next Wednesday.
Thank you for reading these words. I’m deeply honored to share this time with you each week.
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: “Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.” Jeremiah 30:2
Gratefully yours,
