đđđłA Good Word Wednesday #135 BREAK
A little bit of help, hope and goodness for you each Wednesday
During your Spring Break, would you please post your review of Unseen People? Add an Amazon review HERE. Add a Goodreads review HERE. THANK YOU!!
We are in the midst of Spring Break in Oklahoma. That means kids are out of school enjoying their freedom and running amok in our neighborhoods. It means schedules are topsy-turvy and families squeeze in a quick get-away. It means college students pile onto sunny, sandy beaches. And for some people, it means taking a missions trip.
It also means flowers and trees are blooming causing havoc with hay fever. And lately, around here, it means days filled with fierce wind and wildfires.
In the midst of all of that, a break means rest, an intentional pause from the ordinary and time to reset. For me and my husband, that means having a house full of our five grandkids in our home tomorrow. It will be loud, messy and wonderful.
It also means for me time to enjoy warm weather, watch everything turn green, read out on my deck, and observe the birds snacking at my feeders.
What books are you reading during spring break? I was thrilled to see that one of my friends included Unseen People in her stack of books! What is in your book stack right now?
What does Spring Break look like for you? Hopefully, you will find time for rest.
Wednesday in the Word
âHe makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.â â Psalm 23:2
âTruly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.â â Psalm 62:1
âYou will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.â â Isaiah 26:3
âTake my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.â â Matthew 11:29

Good Question(s) of the Week: How are you enjoying spring break? Why is it good to take a break from your normal routine?
Good Words from Unseen People
From Unseen People, What to Do on a Staycation, p 45-46:
I desperately needed to do nothingâor as close to nothing as possible. I had no desire to get on a plane or in a car and travel somewhere. My work gave me plenty of opportunity to do that. I needed to be still and enjoy some long, uninterrupted peace and quiet. On the last day of my self-proclaimed stay-at-home vacation, it was time to evaluate my week and discover if it was worth it before the work week began again.

A FINAL GOOD WORD
Now, itâs time for me to take a break. Enjoy your spring break. Set aside some time to do absolutely nothing. I dare you.
See you next Wednesday.
Thank you for reading these words. Iâm deeply honored to share this time with you each week. See you next Wednesday with a new good word.
Gratefully yours,
My bookstack includes three that I'm reading right now - Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Marty, Prophet, Spy; Young Woman and the Sea, and The Tell. And I'm listening to the audio book version of A Walk in the Woods on my runs. And then I have a *huge* to-be-read bookstack đ.
I've been going going going this week, but after tomorrow will take a forced break grr. Oh, well. Plenty of reading time đ
Enjoy the grandkids!!!!
Taking a break for me, is not only physically but more importantly, mentally. And I love indulging more in what makes my heart happy. Reading, music, good movies, and a good nap.
