A Good Word Wednesday #19 πͺπ¦
THANKFUL, Grateful, Blessed - Words of encouragement for you today
Word of the Week: THANKFUL
Itβs here! Today is Thanksgiving Eve. Yes, I know, itβs not a real thing, but as you know, I LOVE Thanksgiving. Time for family and food. Here is a quick list of the things I am thankful for today:
My relationship with Jesus. The rest of this list is just gravy.
My Family. All of them. But especially, of course, thankful for my incredibly supportive husband, Johnny. My two kids, Rachel and Johnny III. (See my sorry/not sorry links to their work below.) So thankful for my two in-law children, Nathan and Mary, and our four grandchildren. And, of course, Iβm thankful Rosie and Cheyenne are a part of our family. Canβt imagine life without these two sweet, goofy Labs.
My Church family β I talk a lot about my church in these posts. I love worshipping, learning and serving at First Baptist, Duncan. My church
My Home β I love being here. So thankful for this peaceful place.
You. Really really. I am grateful for you and the time you take to read these words, respond, share, and reply. Thankful for you and that we can connect every week right here.
I decided to stop the list at five. I could go on and on. What are your top 5 things you are thankful for on this Thanksgiving Eve?
Wednesday in the Word
βLet them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
Β Β Β Β and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
for he satisfies the thirsty
Β Β Β Β and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:8-9Psalm 34:8 β
We will TASTE lots of good food in the next few days. Besides the delicious turkey and cornbread dressing at my mother-in-lawβs home, we will have mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll, and on it goes. We will be thankful, we will taste as much of the food as we can, we will be overly full, and we will go for a walk.
Words I recommend
Love this song: The Goodness of God βWith every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.β
Since this is a time to celebrate family, here is my first shameless plug, sorry/not sorry, for one of my children. Johnny Sanders III is licensed professional counselor. He was interviewed recently about his new Christian-based counseling service, Truth and Grace Counseling. Very proud and thankful for this young man. Read and watch the video here Johnny III Interview
Art I recommend β And my second shameless plug for my daughter, Rachel Holland, sorry/not sorry. See for yourself her amazing hand-crafted crochet items on her Etsy shop. So very proud of my talented girl and thankful for her. The Faded Wildflower-Rachel Holland
A Final Word
I will be quiet now so you can join your family, eat your delicious food and just. be. thankful.
Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.
Thanks Emily! See you tomorrow!
