A Good Word Wednesday #71 FULL π¦ π π
A little bit of goodness, encouragement and hope in your mailbox today
Good Word of the Day: FULL
We are all about to be really full. Full of yummy food. Be in full houses of people. Have full laps of kids and grandkids. At least, thatβs what my Thanksgiving will be. Delicious cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, and pecan pie. My mother-in-lawβs home will be bursting at the seams with 20 or more people, including my entire little family.
For all of that, my cup runneth over and I am full of thanks.
If you know me, you know Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Here are just a few things that fill my heart all year long:
My relationship with Jesus. The rest of this list is just gravy.
My Family. All of them. But especially, of course, thankful for my incredibly supportive, loving husband, Johnny. My two kids, Rachel and Johnny III and my two in-law children, Nathan and Mary, and our five grandchildren.
My Church family β I talk a lot about my church in these posts. I love worshipping, learning and serving at First Baptist, Duncan. My church
My Home β I love being here. So thankful for this peaceful place. Just canβt get enough of it.
You. I imagine you joining me on my porch and enjoying good coffee with me. I am truly grateful for you and the time you take each week to read these words, respond, share, and reply. So very thankful for you and that we can connect every week right here.
I decided to stop the list at five. I could go on and on. What are you most thankful for on this Thanksgiving Eve? What fills your heart with gratitude?
We will taste lots of good food in the next few days. We will be thankful, we will be overly full, and we will go for a walk.
Wednesday in the Word

The following excerpt is from a story that will be included in my upcoming book, Unseen People: Sharing Light and Life with Your Neighbors and the Nations. Iβve learned that God weaves people in and out of our lives and we always are enriched by their presence. Sometimes we learn big things and sometimes, we just need to share turkey, or a hamburger, or pie and coffee, and just be family together.

In the last Good Word edition, I promised you a BIG announcement. Here it is β The cover for Unseen People has been created and approved by my publisher, Ambassador International. When I first saw it, I immediately loved it. I hope you love it too. Iβd love to know what you think. Click here to see it: DeAnna's website: The book Unseen People Iβve only shared it with a limited number of family and friends so far. And now, you! Thank you for taking time to read this and being so supportive of these words. This sneak peak is my Thanksgiving gift to you. I will share it more broadly when I officially start my marketing plan six months ahead of the Unseen People release date. That means, in February, I will need your help in getting the word out about the book. Thank you!
Good Words I Recommend

A Good Quote: βThere is but one good; that is God. Everything else is good when it looks to Him and bad when it turns from Him.β C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce
A Final Good Word
I am aware this holiday will be a hard one for many people. You may have lost a loved one since this time last year. You may be battling a chronic disease. You may be separated from your loved ones for a variety of reasons and find yourself alone. In these days, please experience anew the great love the Father has for you. As we all need to do, look to Him, the One who sees you, and give grateful, humble thanks. May you be full of the thing that matters most β your relationship with Him.
It is these good words that connect me with you. For that, I am profoundly grateful. Every day, my journey includes doing thisβ¦
βAnd now, go, write it before them on a tablet and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come as a witness forever.β Isaiah 30:8
And thisβ¦
βThis is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: βWrite in a book all the words I have spoken to you. Jeremiah 30:2
